Thomas Jack Wood is a photographer, camera assistant, and emerging cinematographer based in lutruwita/Tasmania.
Tom believes in the importance of professionalism, collaboration, a hard work ethic, and values of empathy and connection in the filmmaking process. Over the past 4 years, he has developed skills to support the storytelling of local, interstate, and international crews and productions.
Working as both a technician in the camera department on commercial and long form drama sets, and a collaborative cinematographer/director on music videos and documentary projects, Tom is most recently credited as the digital imaging technician assistant on the Netflix feature film, APEX (DIR Baltasar Kormákur, DOP Lawrence Sher ASC),
